Caldercraft HM Mortar Vessel Convulsion

The HM Mortar Vessel Convulsion was originally built in 1805 for the British Royal Navy. It was used as a mortar vessel, which was a type of ship designed to carry and fire mortars, large, short-barreled cannons used for bombarding enemy positions from a distance.

During its time in service, the Convulsion saw action in various conflicts, including the Napoleonic Wars and the War of 1812. It was involved in bombarding enemy fortifications and supporting naval operations.

After its naval service, the Convulsion was decommissioned and eventually sold off. Its ultimate fate is unclear, but it likely either served as a merchant vessel or was scrapped.

Overall, the HM Mortar Vessel Convulsion played an important role in naval warfare during the early 19th century and is a part of naval history.
