The “sloop”, with its strongly sloping keel, was used for shell fishing on the North-West coast of France. Decked only at the bow and stern, it had a wide central zone, fitted with removable planking. The design remained virtually unchanged from the mid-1800’s to the 1950’s, when fisherman started adding small auxiliary engines.
Corel’s kit contains everything necessary for building an authentic replica. Keel and frames are pre-cut plywood and planking is tanganyka.
