Steam engines cannot be lubricated with normal engine or bicycle oil. The steam heat immediately dissolves normal oil, which will then saponify. Steam engine oil is heat resistant and lubricates pistons and cylinders as the steam flows through the engine. Krick superheated steam oil in a plastic bottle with 60 ml of product.
