Taka, Black Sea Fishing Boat – Wooden Kit by Turk Model
The Taka is a tradition small boat, commonly found along the coast of Turky on the Black Sea. These boats are used for both fishing and carrying small loads of cargo and passengers. The Taka are considered to be very stable boats, well-suited for the waters of the Black Sea. The boats used for transport commonly measure between 25 to 40 feet in length with the capacity to carry 5 to 10 tons, with those used for fishing being on the smaller size. As fishing boats, Taka are commonly used to fish for anchovies.
Turk Model utilizes high-tech computer aided design to make their kits. They feature precisely laser-cut wooden plywood framework and structures, timber planking for single-plank-on-bulkhead hull construction, and include precision made parts and fittings.
Illustrated building instructions with text passages and parts list are in both Turkish and English, but they are not provided in the box. You can easily be downloaded at any time using the following link: Taka (1/35) Instructions
