The following return policy applies only to orders placed on WoodenModelShipKit or woodenmodelshipkit.com.

Returning an Item

If you are not satisfied with an item on WoodenModelShipKit, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the return shipping charges, provided the item is returned in good resalable condition. This means that the item is returned to us in the condition that it was received with the item’s sealed plastic parts areas or parts bags unopened, in the original box, with all parts, accessories and paperwork included. Open boxes containing all parts, but with plastic bags or plastic sections opened, but in otherwise good condition may incur a 10% to 15% restocking fee if accepted for return. We are sorry, but we cannot accept for return, kits in which construction has begun, kits with parts which are removed from the spline, partial kits, or kits damaged by the customer. Kits which are factory sealed may not be returned if opened.

Kits Missing Parts

Our kits are often very elaborate and can contain hundreds of parts. It is rare, but occasionally a kit will have one or more parts missing. For this reason, we advise customers to check kits upon receipt for damage and/or missing parts before starting the model. If the kit has parts missing you have two options. You may return the kit for a full refund, or exchange, within the first 30 days, providing the kit is in otherwise new and resalable condition.

After 30 days and/or if the customer has opened and begun construction on the kit, the manufacturer’s warranty is usually limited to replacing missing or damaged parts. We will make every effort to work with the manufacturer to replace the parts with exact manufacturers parts or as near to exact as we are able to obtain. Please notify us within the first 30 days of your purchase is missing parts or we may be unable to obtain replacement parts for you from our manufacturers.

Sorry, no returns or credits after 30 days.

To make a return, please follow the instructions below:

Call the WoodenModelShipKit toll free at 1-855-449-1467. Explain the issue and determine if the product is eligible for return. If eligible for return the management of WoodenModelShipKit will authorize the return and provide you with a return ship-to address.

Pack the item securely in a box. You may use either the original box that the item arrived in or another box. Do not use the model’s packing box for return shipping as it will damage the model for resale.

Enclose original packing slip with the item. On the slip, please write the reason for return, and the phone number where you can best be reached. If you are not able to send the original slip, please include your return phone number, billing name and address on a separate piece of paper with the item.

You are responsible for the cost of shipping the return item back to us. We recommend using a traceable, insured shipping service for your return as we are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. You will be refunded in the same form of payment used for the original purchase, within 30 days of our receiving the item.

What if I receive a damaged or incorrect item?

If an item arrives damaged, please inform the delivery driver if present on delivery. If the item is either damaged, defective, or arrives incorrectly, please send an email to [email protected] or call our toll free number at 1-855-449-1467 within 7 business days of delivery, so that we can correct the problem. If we have incorrectly shipped an item, we will be happy to reimburse you for the reasonable cost of return shipping.

Gift returns will be refunded to the original purchaser.

Changing or Canceling an Order

If you wish to cancel or change an order once it has been submitted, you must contact Customer Service at 1-855-449-1467 or [email protected] within 24 hours of submission. We will make every effort to cancel the order when possible. We are not able to change or cancel orders that have already been shipped.

All sales are final after the 30-day return period has expired.

Terms & Conditions for Special Order Items

Special orders must be placed on the telephone. Special orders are orders which are prepaid, not returnable, and may not be combined with any other offer. Some items may be covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty. In case of product defect, we will attempt to contact the manufacturer on behalf of the customer for a refund or replacement of parts.
